Motorsports and Communication
I’m Victor Pineda.
I work across motorsports, culture, and communication, with a background shaped by time at racetracks, in media, and in long conversations about how sports connect people. I’m based in Mexico City, and when I’m not working, I’m usually traveling, observing places and people, or writing. I also collaborate with NASCAR on international competition and operations, helping shape how the sport is built and experienced beyond the United States.
My relationship with racing began early, trackside, in the 1990s. I started as a marshal and later moved through race direction and officiating roles. That hands-on experience shaped how I understand competition today. To me, motorsports are both spectacle and substance. They are systems and people, but also emotion, connection, and shared moments that inspire and move audiences.
I studied Cultural Sociology at UNAM, where my interest in meaning, media, and storytelling took form. Alongside motorsports, I’ve worked in radio, writing, and digital projects. That path led me to found Primer Movimiento, a small multimedia platform behind projects such as La Pareja Viajera and Pasajero Radio.
I’m also a writer. I publish Explorador, a Spanish-language newsletter focused on ideas, everyday observations, and long-form reflection. I tend to write the way I think: slowly, with curiosity, and usually with a cup of coffee nearby.
This site is a working notebook.
A place to share projects, thoughts, and things still in motion.
